2:30 a.m.: Ski freestyle – New Zealander flies to sleep in the Porteus halfpipe
With brilliant tricks, perfect grabs and a clean landing, Nico Porteus secured the Olympic victory in the halfpipe. Silver and bronze in the 220m pipe at Zhangjiakou Genting Snow Park, through which a strong wind blew, went to the USA’s David Wise and Alex Ferreira.
5:00 am: Alpine skiing – team competition canceled due to wind
Adverse weather conditions at the Olympic venue in Yanqing again changed the schedule.
