China on Friday, 8 April resolved to continue promoting financial and financial cooperation among BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa).

“In recent years, BRICS countries have maintained a strong momentum of cooperation and have made significant contributions to optimize global economic governance and promote recovery and high-quality development,” he said. The Chinese treasurer said that facing the complexity of the international situation and the slowdown in the global economy, BRICS should strengthen macro-policy coordination to stimulate the global economy. He stressed that his country will encourage information sharing and exchange of experience with respect to infrastructure investments to deepen financial and financial cooperation among BRICS countries. He said that China will also work with other member countries of the grouping to achieve practical results on the way to strengthen financial and financial cooperation. China, which is assuming the presidency of BRICS this year, will soon host the 14th summit of the grouping.
