British travelers can now go to only 12 destinations without restrictions

THe has launched a new campaign to help UK holidaymakers plan their next break-seat trip to the EU, including passport, driving and all pet change rules.

With the Brexit transition period ending on 1 January, the UK will be traveling to EU countries in 2021 (as well as Switzerland, Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein) under additional checks and regulations.

Passports must be under 10 years of age and valid for at least six months upon departure, and travelers are advised to check the health insurance requirements for the following year, as European health insurance cards will no longer be valid.

Some EU countries do not recognize UK driver’s licenses and must obtain an international driving permit for any holiday they wish to drive.

Pet owners face a number of drastic rule changes: EU pet passports will be sent out as illegal after the bracelet, and anyone wishing to take a cat or dog to Europe will have to complete a four-month application process.

The government is further warning that UK travelers will no longer automatically receive free data-roaming, although most mobile networks have confirmed that they will not introduce charges.
