The Prime Minister has warned that the UK may be affected by an increase in the number of new cases as the epidemic in France is out of control.
Boris Johnson warned that the UK was hit with a similar spike, usually two to three weeks later in cases.
France entered its third lockdown this week with a dismal 100,000 dead and intensive care units, but Johnson is yet to put France on the government’s travel list.
Johnson warned: “I’m afraid you can see what’s going on in France … It’s really very sad, it’s very sad.
“When they get it in France and do it badly, two or three weeks later, it comes to us.”
Labor has criticized the government, saying that it is “reckless and unacceptable” that blanket measures should not be forced into self-quarantine on all arrivals in Britain, as many are being told they are at home on their own Can be separated.
Shadow Labor Home Secretary Nick Thomas-Symonds said: “France’s decision to make a third stop is even more necessary for the Conservatives to introduce strict border controls.
“It is unwise and unacceptable that a hotel has only 1% international arrival.
“I urge conservative ministers to urgently protect our borders by protecting the health of the nation and launching a comprehensive hotel quarantine system by launching a vaccine.”
