Biden and Erdogan will meet in Rome on Sunday

US President Joe Biden will meet with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Sunday on the sidelines of the G20 leaders’ summit in Rome, the Italian capital.

A senior White House official said in a press statement on Saturday that Biden would hold a bilateral meeting with his Turkish counterpart.

He said Biden met German Chancellor Angela Merkel and her potential chance chancellor successor Olaf Scholz at the summit.

The G20 leaders’ summit began on Saturday in Rome, the Italian capital.

Work on the summit – which is being held in person for the first time, due to Covid-19 – will end on Sunday. The G20 heads of state and government will discuss many important issues such as the fight against climate change, health and the global economy.
