EU and Indo-Pacific What strategy, with which partners?

From Thu 20 to Fri 21 January from 9 am to 5:30 pm.

The Indo-Pacific is one of the priorities of the French presidency of the Council of the European Union, which begins for six months in January 2022. Paris wants to make the Indo-Pacific a pillar of the EU’s foreign policy. But do other member states share the French approach to the region and what about other Western partners, including the United States? Last but not least, what await the countries of the Indo-Pacific region of Europe?

In this two-day conference, an attempt will be made to find answers to these questions. It will also focus on security concerns arising from military build-up in the region – where China is expanding its influence.
