Anushka Sharma tells how to prepare for ‘Chakda Express’

Bollywood actress-producer Anushka Sharma has put to rest speculations whether she has started preparing for her film ‘Chakda Express’. She took to her social media to inform about her preparation process and showed that she is stepping into the shoes of famous Indian pacer Jhulan Goswami as she learns to play like him.

Anushka posted a picture of herself playing the nets and captioned it as “Grip by grip prep #ChakdaXpress.”

Anushka returns to acting after her pregnancy with this film, which is inspired by the life and times of Jhulan, India’s most decorated female cricketer. Jhulan holds the world record for most wickets by a woman in an international career.

Chakda Express traces Jhulan’s inspiring journey to fulfill her dream of playing cricket for India, despite the hurdles created by misogynistic politics. She succeeded in her goal and became the captain of the Indian women’s national cricket team and is a role model for aspiring women cricketers in the country. In 2018, an Indian postage stamp was issued in his honour.

Anushka is one of the most successful and influential actresses of her generation. She is the only actress to have three films worth over 300 crores – Sultan, PK and Sanju – under her belt. She leaves no stone unturned to make this project the biggest tribute to a female sports icon in our country. According to reports, Anushka will fly to the UK to shoot the 30-day schedule of the cricket film, which will be largely editing Chakda Express. Every effort is made to make the film a visual treat for the audience.
