Another Christmas in Doughton Abbey: Shooting for a new film begins

LONDON – Fans of “Downton Abbey” can look forward to Christmas this year: The family saga is being extended for a second time. In Great Britain, the shooting of a second cinema film about Krollis has begun. By broadcast, all the main characters of the series are there, including Lord and Lady Crowley, Hugh Bonneville and Elizabeth McGovern, their daughters Mary (Michelle Dockery) and Edith (Laura Carmichael) and (un) retired butler’s servants. Carson (Jim Carter).

But there will also be new faces: Hugh Dancy, Laura Haddock, Nathalie Bay and Dominic West are part of the cast. Directed by Simon Curtis.

In the first film, the King and Queen of England met the Crowley family and Doughton’s staff. Which producer Julian Fellowes has come up with for Downton residents at this time is yet to be revealed. That’s all: The film should arrive in theaters by Christmas. (TT.com/smo)
