Roadworks: Alternative traffic on the Avenue de Gaulle in Chales
Avenue de Gaulle, network burial is underway. They should end in July, the town hall specifies.
Traffic is subject to change. “Traffic and parking restrictions may apply as the site progresses”, Warns the town hall.
The town hall clarifies the possible choice of traffic with a traffic light or traffic agent.
Between July and December 2021, other works will begin on the Avenue du Général de Gaulle. The town hall will develop a bicycle path that will extend along this path for 910 meters.
The state is contributing € 123,070 to the project as part of the National Active Mobility Fund of the Cycling Scheme.
What will the track look like? It will be 3 meters wide. The asphalt will be shot with a light brown tone.
Pedestrians will walk on a separate sidewalk, unlike the greenway recently built on the Chamin du Corps de Garde, where pedestrians and bicycles share the same space.
Work will also continue on Avenue des Sciences. As a reminder, many operations have already been carried out: burial of overhead networks, construction of elevated pedestrian crossings, repair of pavements, and more.
The roadway has also become narrower.
Parking lots have been built and trees have been planted. The street lights are now illuminated with LED.
Work on the Avenue des Sciences is in progress
A children’s play area has been built at the corner of Ru Gay-Lussac and Avenue des Sciences. The cost of this first phase of work is 908,000 €. The state contributed € 200,000 and the region € 431,885.
These operations will be repeated on the rest of the avenue. The next projects will be on the section between the Avens Delambre and the Avenues de la Cité Fournier.
They will be after operations on behalf of Avenue des Sciences, located between the Avenue de la Cité Fournier and the Cémin de la Guate.
Then, finally, work will continue on the portion of the avenue located on the Montfermill shore.
