British police announced Monday that they had accused American actor Kevin Spacey of sexually assaulting three men and called them to Westminster on Thursday to testify.

Following a prosecutor’s review of evidence presented by Scotland Yard, he has been charged with four counts of sexual assault and inciting penetrative sexual activity without consent.

Following an investigation by the Metropolitan Police, Mr Spacey is being investigated for four offenses of sexual assault against three men in London and Gloucestershire between 2005 and 2013.

The actor has expressed his desire to travel to the UK to face the charges. I am sorry for the decision he took to move on. I will report to the UK as soon as possible to defend myself against these allegations and I am confident that I will be able to prove my innocence,” Mr Spacey said in a statement after the allegations were announced.

Despite being born in California, Mr Spacey has lived in London for almost ten years and calls the UK home.
