Father of 10-time world champion, grandfather of 4-time world champion and winged sponsor, Red Bull; The least we can say is that Belgium’s young motocross rider, Liam Everts, is well-rounded and ready to handle it.
Like legend Stephen Everts in his heyday, his son Liam set the circuit on fire with his Red Bull helmet. And this helmet, it is not given to everyone. It must be said that talent is already present in this 16-year-old youth. Heads full of projects and ambitions, when we ask Evers what their objectives are, the desire to grow and above all to profit 200% from this beautiful passion is realized very quickly.
a new season
Liam Everts is gearing up for the new MX2 season that starts this weekend in Matterly Basin, UK. He will do everything possible to honor that great number 72. As a warm-up, he visited his home, where he showcased his bike for 2022 and where his incredible collection of MX memorabilia is on display. Father Stephen.
, You have to be very confident and believe that you are the best. I am one of the few going to the world championships. In a way, I am my biggest competitor. I’m asking a lot. I set the bar high. I want to be in my best shape and not drive like an idiot (laughs). I always try to win, but first I have to be in the top 10 and then move on. Liam Everts explains.
, The level of the World Championships is much higher than in the European category. This will make a difference to me. Everything is fast and difficult. These guys aren’t afraid to nudge you occasionally (laughs). It won’t be easy, but I love a challenge! It’s always a little difficult to find your rhythm at the start of the season, but aim to progress throughout the year. I just want to do my best and handle the stress of the race. If I can, I’d also like to do motocross des nations in America again. The most important thing is to have fun in what we do. Liam develops.
