A man and a woman in their 20s were killed and two were seriously injured when their car broke down a wall.
The pair died when a gray Mercedes 200 crashed on Warwick Road in Solihull, Birmingham, just before 10am on Sunday.
BirminghamLive reported that they were pronounced dead at the scene near the junction of Gentleshow Lane.
The driver and two other passengers were taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Detective Sergeant Paul Hughes from West Midlands Police, who led the investigation, said: “This is a sad time for the families of those involved, and we have specially trained officers to assist them in the difficult times ahead.
“The investigation is really at an early stage and we are trying to establish exactly what happened and why. Anyone who has seen a Mercedes driving in the area last night or captured anything in dash-cam footage would request that, contact us as soon as possible.” To do. “
