Actress calling on companies to be more committed to climate change

The shareholders’ union is calling on Actors companies to do more to combat climate change. They wanted a proactive and transparent implementation of climate safeguards, it said in a release on Tuesday. The voting criteria of the actress have been adjusted accordingly.

So Actares urgently requires that listed Swiss companies not only report on their climate protection activities, but also set themselves the goal of being climate neutral by 2050. This should apply not only to the companies themselves, but also to the entire supply chain in which they are involved. This is the only way for the Swiss economy to contribute to the goal of maximizing global warming of 1.5 °C.

That’s why Actares is demanding that the annual reporting should have a roadmap that outlines the path for the company to become CO2 neutral by 2050, at the latest. This roadmap should be based on recognized standards and should also have intermediate goals. If companies do not meet these criteria, Actares will reject future annual reports and refuse to grant leave.
