7 women who are inspiration to others

Michelle Obama (57) created history with her husband. Barack Obama, 59, became the first black president of the United States in 2009. Michelle Obama became the first black first lady. After his time in the White House, he published his memoir in the book Memoirs – My Story.

These women did great things

Marie Curie () 66), a Polish-French physicist, made a major contribution to science with her work on radioactivity. She was the first woman to win the Nobel Prize and the only woman to receive the award twice.

Rosa Parks () 92) was the first black woman in 1955 to refuse to place a white man on a bus. She was an African American activist and a prominent civil rights advocate in the United States.

Margaret Thatcher († 87) was the first woman to become Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 1979 to 1990. Her discipline and strict control over her cabinet earned her the nickname “The Iron Lady”.
