Swansea City continued their resurgence under Carlos Carvalhal with a vital win over Burnley on Saturday afternoon.
The Swans came out on top in a tight game against a Burnley side who have been the Premier League’s favourite underdogs this season.
However, Carvalhal’s men had a job to do and with the help of Ki’s low drive past Burnley keeper Nick Hope, they did it.
It took until the 81st minute for the Swans to get their goal, but they were good value for the win against a very solid Burnley side.
The home side impressed and looked particularly dangerous when Abraham, Andre Ayew and Jordan Ayew were put together in the front line.
And those three, if this afternoon is anything to go by, could be crucial in securing Swansea the points they need to survive.
Three of which they managed today and it takes into 15th, two points clear of the drop zone, albeit with four of the teams below them possessing a game in-hand.
The win also means Carvalhal has only lost one of his 11 games in charge and the momentum doesn’t look like it will be brought to a halt anytime soon.
The Swans take a break from league action next week to face Sheffield Wednesday in the FA Cup, but when they return from the Steel City, they have a run of crucial fixtures, taking on relegation rivals Brighton, West Ham and Huddersfield.
