Feds report death from COVID-19 in nearly 26,000 nursing homes: report

According to a new report, the federal government’s first gang of deaths from the coronavirus results in about 26,000 deaths and does not even include all of them.

In a letter to state governors, it was stated that at least 25,923 residents were killed by COVID-19, ABC News reported.

In addition, according to the letter written by the Market Disease Control and Prevention Centers and the Medicare and Medicaid Service Centers, at least 449 nursing home workers died from the disease.

The surprising fee accounts for over a quarter of the country’s 104,702 coronavirus deaths counted by Johns Hopkins University in the afternoon.

But federal regulators acknowledged that nursing home numbers did not contain data from some states before May, potentially making up only 80 percent of all facilities nationwide.

The letter also pointed out that federal numbers may be “inconsistent with status data, especially state death data,” due to the different ways that individual cases monitor the coronavirus.

According to the New York State Department of Health, there were 3,298 nursing homes in the coronavirus on Sunday.

In addition, a total of 5,944, including 2,646 deaths estimated to be caused by COVID-19. according to official figures.

The government, Andrew Cuomo, faced widespread criticism for addressing nursing homes in the coronavirus crisis.

Reversing the order last month, Cuomo tried to fix the crime for the first decision on the guidance of President Trump’s administration.

In addition to providing the first death rate nationwide, ABC also warned that the letter plans to break the inappropriate infection control measures by increasing inspection and fines for nursing homes.
