Cardiff City have received a boost ahead of their tip to London to face Tottenham Hotspur this weekend.
Spurs will be without a number of key players for their home clash with the Bluebirds this weekend, as well as their mid-week Champions League meeting with Barcelona.
Tottenham will be without Serge Aurier, Mousa Dembele, Dele Alli, Christian Eriksen and Jan Vertonghen this weekend.
The plethora of injuries in the Spurs camp will offer Cardiff some hope as they make the trip to London this weekend still in desperate need of their first win.
The Bluebirds are one of only two Premier League sides still searching for that elusive first victory, along with Huddersfield Town.
And it doesn’t look like it will be arriving this weekend with an away clash with Tottenham Hotspur to contend.
Pochettino’s men are currently fourth in the Premier League, picking up 15 points from their first seven games.
However, they have been dealt a blow ahead of this week’s Champions League and Premier League fixtures.
On the week that Tottenham play Cardiff City and Barcelona, they have been hit by something of an injury crisis with all five of those key players above missing out.
Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen are two of Spurs’ biggest danger men, but Cardiff won’t have to worry about them this weekend.
And Spurs also lose strength in the midfield and defence with the loss of Mousa Dembele and Jan Vertonghen.
It gives Cardiff a boost as they look to create an upset this weekend, but it doesn’t make things an awful lot easier.
Spurs can still call upon star striker Harry Kane – who has already netted five this season – along with many other stars, meaning Neil Warnock and his men still have their work cut out to bring any points home from Wembley.
